ActionKit actions in real time

ActionKit actions, such as petition signatures, signups, and donations, now arrive in Daisychain as they happen, so they can start automations and appear in a person's activity right away. Daisychain sets this up in ActionKit for you when you connect or re-enable an ActionKit integration.

Until now, ActionKit data reached Daisychain through periodic syncs. Now each action taken on an ActionKit page is sent to Daisychain as it happens and recorded on the person who took it, dated by when it was taken in ActionKit.

When you connect an ActionKit integration, or re-enable one, Daisychain registers the connection in ActionKit for you, so there's nothing to copy or paste. The integration's settings page shows whether real-time actions are set up and when the last action arrived.

With real-time actions you can:

  • Start automations with a new ActionKit action trigger, filtered by page type.
  • See ActionKit actions, including the page type, in a person's activity feed, and filter activity to show them.
  • Work with the new actionkit.action kind through the API.

Actions on ActionKit Import pages, which come from CSV uploads, are skipped. If a person has opted out of email in Daisychain more recently than their last update in ActionKit, an ActionKit action won't resubscribe them.
